HTML export to CD as distributed training tool

CPA is the largest professional organisation in Australia with more than 102,000 members. It is also the world’s sixth largest accounting body.
CPA’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program produces a number of face-to-face and online training packages for its members. The task was to take a 2 day face-to-face seminar and produce it as a CD Rom with a high level of interactivity. The source material was analysed and divided into text screens and video segments that brought the face-to-face presenter to the user. Multiple levels of navigation were devised to give users maximum access.
Mackay Branson Design (MBd) used Komodo CMS to build the site. This proved to be a faster process than previous productions using other HTML authoring programs. With more than 5,000 information components the site was produced from start to sign-off in 10 days. The CD has been accredited for professional development hours that help maintain a CPA member’s accreditation.
