Google Offer Edge to Mobile Friendly Sites - 26th Feburary, 2015
Google recently announced they now offer mobile friendly sites a search boost.

"When it comes to search on mobile devices, users should get the most relevant and timely results, no matter if the information lives on mobile-friendly web pages or apps."

Facebook News Feed Changes - Reducing Overly Promotional Page Posts in News Feed - 14th November 2014
Facebook recently announced changes designed to improve News Feed user experience.

"As part of an ongoing survey we asked hundreds of thousands of people how they feel about the content in their News Feeds. People told us they wanted to see more stories from friends and Pages they care about, and less promotional content."

Facebook Like - Platform Policy Change (to be complied by 5th November 2014)
You can no longer incetivize people to simply like your page. You can incentifize to enter a competition, but that process cannot include liking the page as part of the requirement.

"You must not incentivize people to use social plugins or to like a Page. This includes offering rewards, or gating apps or app content based on whether or not a person has liked a Page. It remains acceptable to incentivize people to login to your app, checkin at a place or enter a promotion on your app's Page. To ensure quality connections and help businesses reach the people who matter to them, we want people to like Pages because they want to connect and hear from the business, not because of artificial incentives. We believe this update will benefit people and advertisers alike."
