Komodo CMS inaugural user conference was held in Melbourne on Thursday 18 October 2007. More than 110 delegates attended the whole day event which covered a wide range of digital publishing technologies and information sessions.

Open Publish, which in 2007 celebrated it's seventh year, is the leading Australian conference on digital publishing technologies and in particular, on web content management.

Komodo CMS exhibited at the conference and Komodo CMS CEO, David Warwick, conducted a tutorial session on
'creating and measuring your web strategy' , held on August 1, 2007 and a seminar presentation titled 'closing the loop on web publishing' presented on August 2, 2007.

Clients, partners, staff and friends of Komodo CMS celebrated 2006 and the promise of 2007 at the Australian Centre of Contemporary Art on Wednesday, December 6, 2006.

2006 – ACCESS EVENINGS (OPEN HOUSE) SESSIONS

Our Komodo CMS Access Evenings, provide an opportunity to see Komodo CMS in action and a forum for discussion of web publishing topics of interest. Access Evenings are a chance for our content community to catch up and for others interested in web publishing to learn more about Komodo CMS.

Our standing format is a basic product demonstration, by way of demonstration and also an opportunity for questions from current customers. We also run a presentation on a specific web publishing or content management topic that is beneficial for both experienced web professionals and content management novices. Our Access Evenings are a great chance to network with others interested in web publishing over a few drinks.

Christmas drinks and festive spirit accompanied our last Open House session for 2005. Komodo CMS held sessions in both Sydney and Melbourne from 4.30PM on Tuesday December 13.

The purpose of our Open House sessions is to provide tutorial information, product demonstrations and a chance for our content community to catch up and discuss issues of mutual interest. In our last session for the year, we added a little Christmas spirit into the mix. We also previewed a little of what Komodo CMS Version 3 has in store.

22 AUG 2005 – CM PROS AUSTRALIA COMMUNITY, INAUGURAL MEETING | MELBOURNE | 4.30PM

CM Pros is a membership organization formed in 2004 that fosters the sharing of content management information, practices, and strategies, seeking to improve content management practices within all organizations.

CM Pros members are content management practitioners, both inside and outside organizations who want to develop their expertise and share it with others. CM Pros has been exploring the creation of regional communities to allow content management professionals outside of the United States to access similar networking opportunities.

In July 2004, David Warwick - Director of
Komodo CMS, Martin Bauer - Managing Director of Design IT, Matthew Harris, Managing Director of Morpheum, and James Robertson - Managing Director of Step Two Designs, met and conceived the formation of an Australian community within CM Pros to focus on the promotion and development of the content management industry in Australia.

The inaugural meeting of the new CM Pros Australia Community was held at the offices of
Komodo CMS at 4.30PM on Monday, 22 August 2005.

Attending this first meeting were Martin Bauer, Lauren Bryan, Matthew Harris, Martin Hughes, William Jamieson, Bruce Morrison and David Warwick, who unanimously supported the formation of the Content Management Professionals Australia Community.

27-29 JULY 2005 – OPEN PUBLISH CONFERENCE | SYDNEY

Open Publish 2005 was the fifth annual conference for people who create, manage and publish information across traditional and electronic media. In 2005 the conference included a stream on web content management chaired by Australian expert, James Robertson.

David Warwick from Komodo CMS presented a session on Organisational Compliance - A Systems Approach. The presentation covered how compliance is impacting on emerging technologies such as Content Management and mobile communications, where compliance is headed, including issues and emerging technical models.

24 TO 26 MAY 2005 – CeBIT 2005 TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION - SYDNEY

CeBIT is Australia's largest technology exhibition and attracts tens-of-thousands of visitors each year. In 2004, Komodo CMS launched Version 1 of our great product at CeBIT and in 2005, we launched Version 2.

CeBIT ran from Tuesday 24 May to Thursday 26 May at the Exhibition Centre in Sydney's Darling Harbour from 10AM to 6PM each day. Komodo CMS provided continous demonstrations on a large Plasma display and one-to-one demonstrations for those with specific questions. There was also a daily presentation from our compliance systems partner, Novation CGS.

26 MAY 2005 – POST CEBIT DRINKS NIGHT

On the 26th of May, CeBIT 2005 drew to a close. For those who were interested in finding out more about Komodo CMS and exploring the benefits to their organisation, Komodo CMS had drinks at the Medina Grand Hotel in Sydney between 6PM and 8PM.

06 FEB 2005 – MELBOURNE MUSEUM LAB3000 DESIGN EXHIBITION

Komodo CMS and endorsed design partners Smart Works and Mackay Branson were among a select number of organisations whose work was included in the Lab 3000 Biennale Exhibiton at the Museum of Victoria.

Lab 3000 is a Government funded creative hub that stimulates collaboration between design professionals, ICT specialists and educational institutions. The Biennale exhibition was at the Museum Victoria from November 11, 2004 until February 6, 2005.

Examples of websites created using Komodo CMS were included on one of the kiosk stations similar to those shown in the image at left.
